Hats Off

be a girl with mind, woman with attitude and a lady with classInnate space expands relentless
rejuvenates rampant stress
each cosmic breath inhales the bland
exhaling endless magic across the
universal spectrum.

Desire and passion race through
waves coast to coast
until they reach their objects.

She was forged from
heat and sweat of love
delicious, delicate love
to which
(now that she is grown)
she too, will take
her hat off.

  1. hmmmm first is bland, boring space, then the cosmos make what they make bring it all into a circle. There is a hesitancy to this one, great pic. I love hats soooo 🙂

  2. Now that she is grown…
You’ve covered conception, growth and maturation to adulthood with brevity and lovely imagery.

  3. I love this finish:-
    delicious, delicate love
    to which
    (now that she is grown)
    she too, will take
    her hat off.

    Beautifully down to earth!

  4. “She was forged from / heat and sweat of love….” Love this, Bren … So many thoughts racing through my head … Always, cat.

  5. Nature and nurture – I really do like the first stanza – though the whole piece is delightful. Thanks for stopping by my non-story piece.
My MIL is nearing 90 – while we do the best we can, it is difficult to see the natural progression of life. I can be grateful that the two separate times that she did live with us that she was younger. I wish she was more active, but she is pretty set in her ways. And still fairly independent. Though perhaps in the next 5 to 10 years that will not be the case.

Only if you care to see the story verse…just recently penned – here is the link:

  6. A marvelous creation from the hearts of two to an independent heart that can transform the many invitations to fill space into living and moving and creating instead. Nothing blandish about that! It may even be peaceful and spirit filled to be so alive. Bless you, hats off, indeed, and a standing ova-tion too.

  7. I love the picture you shared, Bren. And the strong message. I join Grace in saying hats off to you….for this write.

  8. Bringing all as one under your sun, having the universe collide onto her, surely would be a sight to see, but might make ones eyes blur.
