What bliss!
What happiness can exist in pure silence.
Peace sits well with silence
yet,
the music plays, light
offering reflection inside
each note.
Elusive sensations rise
ethereal
…fleeting.
There is more to life than we
may ever know or understand
and
I AM
lost in free flight.
A feather in the wind.

Oh, to be a feather in the wind!
Another read, another smile–note or no note, feather or no feather–lovely bliss
Lovely! Is there anything more peaceful than a feather in the wind! A wonderful Zen-write!
“What bliss” to read your poem that is.
…there is more to life… that passage touched me. And the truth about silence and it’s soothing capacity makes an impression as well.
very nice..bliss of life..
Beautifully meditative. I can feel the lightness of this piece.
I like the feather in the wind ~
This is lovely and – as I imagine Zen to be – extremely Zen-like. I found it very moving. It could move me to investigate Zen further.
oh..a feather in the wind….how beautiful and deep….loved this Bren……
free flight… without fear. How lovely.
A feather in the wind … what a wonderful metaphor !!!
lovely and sweet truth .
Oh…this connectedness…such a gift, such freedom. This poem is buoyant in its brevity, Bren!
I’d enjoy being in free flight as well! 🙂 nice pic too!
Usually it’s Sherry who says what I want to say, but this time it’s Laurie. I love “There is more to life than we may ever know or understand”!
And the feather is a wonderful image.

I’ve just read 3 posts in a row on something Zen. I think I need to take a few moments to listen!!! Lovely.
a feather in the wind…allowing the wind to take it where it will….i like that we will never really fully understand it all…
I so love this poem – especially “a feather in the wind”……..just beautiful. My fave response to this prompt!
I like that “free flight” image!
This certainly captures the essence of Zen.
I thought you captured this so beautifully —
So much more, no matter how much humans and their egos think they know, hope your feather continues to flow.
Physically I’m a feather weight … if only my heart was as well …
There is more to life than we
may ever know or understand
… so true, but living as a feather in the wind is the way to go. = )
