An apple wasn’t the only fruit he used
Garnished with everything edible
he could possibly find
even using sweet scented flowers
to further lure and to entice
He peeked out from behind
those black soul-less eyes
mouth hidden
but the devil couldn’t help
smiling
so aware that everything
about him was saying
‘Bite me’

I wanted this to be deeper than just about fruit. Despite it being fruit the pic seems somehow darker than that (to me)

I love how you developed this loathsome character, so slyly and underhandedly. Thank you for sharing this devilish verse, Bren.
Had a juicy giggle to this one!
Ouch! Too funny….everyone went so silly on this one….mostly…and they’re all wonderful! great read!
Love the way this one flows and unfolds – “devil” is perfect.
Richard
Too funny! Loved reading this and see where you went with it.
So elemental, so garden of eden, mesmer
I’m bitten.
Those eyes drew me in too and I love the way that the last line can be read!! Lol! Great take!

Well as long as he isn’t too germy the cat might bite, Pat on the other hand never.
It sounds to me as though he left the door completely open. I don’t know if he was clever enough for the Devil’s game. 🙂
I like the last line too ~ Bite me an apple ~
the ending just came out of nowhere tooooo funeeee
fruit essence facial mask
ooo yeah the devil will find a way in if you leave the door open just a crack…and nice follow back to the devil, i did not see it coming even with the apple in the beginning…nice turn ma’am
Bite me indeed! Love this…
Clever girl! This one made me smile.

Wow … this is dark, Bren … like in:” Come here, little girl … it’s all good … good for you” . I’d rather eat my finger nails, me thinks …
Ha! NICE! That last line rocks.
