Do Not Disturb

Permission by © Mama Zen Photography

The stars shone in your eyes little
one and now you’ve gone off
some where to dream.
To your world of make
believe.

You’ve had a busy day
all your friends came out to play
and you’ve cast some happy
spells down in the garden dell where
all the other faeries dwell in your
world of make believe.

I’ve seen those magic daisy rings
where you skip, dance and sing
on sunbeams hand in hand casting
spells for wishing wells and
granting more wishes to come true
for me and those who believe
in you and your world of make
believe.

Beautiful dreamer…
Tiny princess of the fae.
Dream dreams of unicorns and other
mystical things using mushrooms
for a pillow upon which to lay
those tired wings.

Come back again when morning
is due as fresh as those daisies
and with bright shiny new wishes
in the palm of your hand
to grant them all again
with a wave of your
magic wand
and the
land of make believe.

  1. This is so lovely and magical! I love it!

I’m sorry that it took me so long to come by and comment. I’ve been pretty sick.

  2. I think every mother fell in love with this photo and I equally enjoyed:

I’ve seen those magic daisy rings

    spells for wishing wells

Just a lovely poem all around. 🙂

  3. aww this is lovely bren…you painted her def with the innocence and playful magic that is a child….children are a marvelous gift to us…and they have much to teach us as well….big smiles on this one…

  4. Kids are a wonder to behold in and off themselves. Plus when they are resting you want them to rest so you can rest, see all that rest..hahaha…great verse.

  5. Incredibly beautiful. Mama Zen is going to so love this poem! I love the cool internal rhyme. LOVE the beautiful images and wishes. Love “to rest your tired wings”. I havent written to this prompt yet. This is the photo that really spoke to me. Now that I have read yours, I dont think I will attempt it, for what you have written is said more beautifully and perfectly than I could say it. It simply could not be more beautiful. And isnt the photo simply brilliant?
