Never say Goodbye

Sorrow oft times sings her song
through ice cold blasts and
whistles down the wind

Melodies which call between
the darkness and the light

She weeps for a silent heart
and sadness heaves its heavy
burden upon a mother’s shoulders.

Haunting notes here and there
reach in to touch so much more
than any words would ever do.

We forget we were born to fly
and love gives us wings

To fly as Angels do, above clouds
carried on the upward lift
of your beautiful love

Always say ‘adieu, so long’
Never say Goodbye.

  1. what an awesome picture you chose to go with this bren…nice verse as well….see you soon…its never goodbye…smiles.

  2. “We forget we were born to fly and love gives us wings,” oh, that line did it for me. Took my breath away. Lovely. Just want to say that although I haven’t been here as often as I probably should, your poems come to my email inbox everyday and it’s always such a joy to read them 🙂

  3. Just beautiful! I love the idea of ‘adieu’ not good-bye. Your poem moved me and inspired me, Bren. I don’t want to think of good-bye, as good-bye seems SO very final, and I don’t want finality.

  4. The delicacy of the photo and the ethereal mood of the poem complement one another so well. Exquisite writing.

  5. Nice message indeed. As one day you just never know. So now I will go, adios, sayonara, see ya, farewell, tata for now, Ciao, technically I never said goodbye..haha
