So near, so far
picture this
ancient past
present memory
talk in riddles
I understand
Poignant,
spilling forth from
late night reverie.
So you, so me
unfolding mystery
of light to dark
sun surrenders
to moon and stars
keeps the triumph
in between
of whispers from eternity
Such simplicity
if we open our eyes
and allow
life’s turning circles.

This is so beautiful.
Life is indeed lived in a circle.
Daydreamer,
This is wonderful poetry. It is tight, compact and speaks volumes in a few words. I love your work! Especially liked this:
“…sun surrenders
to moon and stars
keeps the triumph
in between
of whispers from eternity…”
Happy New Year,
cj

But the cat needs his beauty sleep, opening his eyes too much makes him see too deep. Then he goes kind of crazy and things may get hazy.
Hi, my darling Bre. I sorry if I have not been commenting as often as I would like but been busy with work and the holidays. How is the new job coming?
Last night we watched old home movies with everyone that gathered at my sister’s house. They were all from the seventies when my parents were alive and it was at family’s gatherings over the years. My youngest grandchilden were bored by it but my oldest grandson by Mike was there and it freaked him out to see his father as a baby and also Hank when he was alive. Michele enjoyed them as well. This poem is so perfect about life’s never ending circles. I hope you had a great Christmas, saw the pictures of Chloe and what a beautiful young lady she has grown up to be. I love what you are doing here. Beautiful work. T’aime tu!
great one,
smiles.
you are a gem to us, keep it up.
Happy Holidays.
I love this playful poem!
Thanks for sharing!
Daydreamer, thanks for thinking about me today. Yes, I had a good day surrounded by those I love minus one; but there was joy, and that is to be celebrated. Blessings to YOU today.
