Fabric of Time

Through sleepless nights of silk and tears
she falls down
Gulps back that cascading sadness and yet

and yet,

In her heart of hearts she knows
the soft pad of footfalls belong to
a certain gentle spirit who
arrives with a story to tell of
her pre-destined cosmic calling.
To dwell in bending light
yielding to universal love
filled with immortal thoughts
where she unravels and reveals
herself as part of the
fabric of time.

  1. Another wonderful tale, a touch of sadness with the dip of hope. Which was a nice touch as we wouldn’t want the cat to mope.

  2. Simply beautiful from start to finish.. really a fine piece of poetry.
    much enjoyed..

  3. Sadness and happiness are coming and going like the tides of the ocean … I love the ocean, but I’m afraid of it … I love people, but I’m afraid of them … Much love to you, Master of words, my friend Bren. Always, cat.

  4. What really struck me that I haven’t seen yet is the idea of unraveling. Beautiful concept to work into the prompt.

  5. nice…love the dance in your words, esp there at the end…To dwell in bending light
    yielding to universal love
    filled with immortal thoughts
    where she unravels and reveals
    herself as part of the
    fabric of time….very cool verse…

  6. Daydreamer, this is just beautiful. We all, I guess, in our own way are part of the ‘fabric of time.’ Anyway, that is a reassuring way to contemplate life’s meaning, I think.
