Piece by piece walls come down
as visions of another world
weave their tapestry.
No good chasing yesterdays
where fragments of my soul
fell into rivers of tears
from watercolour dreams
and yet,
all the colours of love
were there.
In this dimension
kindred spirits share their
hearts and voices with
cool breezes of the night
weathering storms of life
in search of tranquility
becoming shadow dancers
bringing life to
gardens of stone.

“No good chasing yesterdays

fell into rivers of tears
from watercolour dreams
and yet,
all the colours of love
were there.”
SO LOVELY D., REAL GOOD, LOVE THIS ONE!!!
very balanced words.
love it.
you make me smile at your perfection
Daydreamer, you are truly outdoing yourself with your poetry lately. The ending just blew me away!
I like the lyrical quality of this piece. Your premise gave me something to think about.
Beautiful… I especially like the second stanza!
“No good chasing yesterdays…”
That’s a good reminder. Beautiful end – unity, acceptance, peace.
Your poem has all the tranquility of a zen garden. Lovely.
I do like that shadows dancing, bringing peace to the garden of stone…
nice….bringing life to stones…nice contradictions through out…and i used to keep a zen garden…the rocks, dragging the sand was so therapeutic…
This poem has the same oriental atmosphere as the Japanese garden in the picture.
Your work always speaks to me of the way to serenity–beautifully done!
love the contradiction of the warm, the moving shadow dancers bringing life to the unmovable, the cold, the stones..and the walls coming down… great intro to that song of freedom..
“no good chasing yesterday’s”
I should learn to follow that. Nice work, succinct.
