I drank the day
leaving nothing unabsorbed
nothing, left to chance
now
behind shades
gaze through windows
Hitch a ride on drifting clouds
during the soothing hours
beyond the beyond
where all thought gathers in
a muster of invisible strength
we mortals cannot
comprehend.
Feathered wings of promise
and golden rays of glory
give leave to light a pathway
to the waiting stars.
(I wonder)
Where are you
somewhere adrift
in an ocean of dreams
inside my soul’s perfect
harmony
and, this hope always
brings me to thoughts of
Higher Love

Wow you must be full after such a drink, are you about to burst?..haha…wonderful verse and liked the ending, as it’s a song title too, used in Stakeout. There’s my facts for the day.
simply beautiful prose.

Beautifully done. that search is the point, i think.
Your personal jounrey of soul searching. Beautifully writen.

‘Where are you’..that perhaps dumbfounds us whilst at the same time keeps us searching..beautiful piece..the day is there to be drunk (in a good way of course)..Jae
I like the injection of personal and searching at the end. And yet it floats back up to the sky as you close. Very nice.
