In shimmering waves of light
she gazed out across
rhythmic time
feeling every heart-beat
of the world.
Through a mist clearing
instinctivly she knew
she was part of something
so much bigger than she’d
ever dreamed.
In the quest for stillness
(or, so it seemed to be)
she found the one that is
meant for all of us
to see
and,
a broken arrow lay upon
the pages turned
to remind her of the pain
of lessons learned and
wisdom gained from
acceptance of
the same.
In a state of grace
she spread her wings
silent,
to the nights embrace
and with a most ethereal touch
caused sweet sensations to wake
like hairs upon a nape
rise naked to the flame.
Filled with such a passion
she will never forget the
only divine expression we
mortals have is pure and
selfless love
and,
to become love itself is
the epitome of life.

This made me think of dreaming… And I wish I could dream as beautifully! *smile*
Reminds me of you when you went to the beach a few years back and really “saw”. This is ZEN.
Hello.
WoW! This whole poem is beautiful, but the ending…oh my word…it’s dynamite!
Love has so much power & magic…we would be fools not to surrender to it.
This poem sends warmness to my heart.
Thanks for sharing.

5th stanza, I totally got that, I have been there too many times 😦 I like that one, and the water of course 🙂
I love that word, and your musing on the extent of its meaning.

rise naked to the flame.”

My God, this is so ethereal and gorgeous. Your final thought about becoming love itself… we are all on the journey, but the purity of that quality of being… I suppose I shall wait to see the Other Side. Really loved this poem, hon. Peace, Amy

Nice sentiments here, a tenderness tone and the ending is beautiful, love those last few stanzas. Thanks
Beautiful. We really are that Love, though we struggle to believe it.
That sure is nice! I love the thought of feeling every heartbeat.
The wise ones say we are already love, and love reigning always. Moving ever towards that consciousness, as I know you do, is our ultimate purpose. What a gift.
Thanks for such beautiful inspiration in this today!!
And please look for YOUR own special sidebar button on my site. Yours is 3rd in line to make an appearance.

Lovely! My favorite lines…
“In a state of grace

This is really beautiful. “To become love itself . . .”
