Contemplation

Words yet to be written
thoughts adrift
wander to a promise made
and kept unto the
living end.

A trip to hell
where the devil smiled
yet deeper in the realm
Heaven’s Angel’s waited
to reprieve
with beautiful light
repeating

‘there will be no fear.’

The lightest kiss to waiting lids
sensual touch to please
brush of hair with fingertips
look that opens windows to
welcome waiting souls.

A sigh.

No, there will be no more tears
as immortal love only strengthens
us through irresistible waves
of calm.

  1. I felt such a connection to this piece as you captured the glory of light residing deeper through the darkness…a journey we must travel. Beautifully done ~ Rose

  2. You’ve captured the essence of ‘comtemplation’ and I love what you’ve done with it! Such gorgeous words hidden within lines as these:
    “wander to a promise made
    and kept unto the
    living end.”
Love the changeable nature and little details found in your poem. So happy that I’ve read this! Well done!

  3. I feel relaxed and calm as though the questions have been answered. There are promises that are kept (somewhere), right? Beautiful introspective poetry.

  5. The presense of tender love dispels fears and anxiety. Remembering on such helps in times of uncertainty. Love the calm tone of this.

  6. This is lovely :)I love that simple line by the angel, ‘there will be no fear’ – Sometimes it seems that would take all anxiety away just to declare it that way. Wonderfully done!

  9. Struggles we address and some we bury and wait, great piece as always your way. Oh and FYI I haven’t gone astray.

Your new posts haven’t shown up in my blogroll, it says the last post you made was a week ago. Dumb blogger is messing with you now.

  10. ‘there will be no fear.’

This seems to be so much what we struggle with as humans. I love how you access that inner space, through contemplation, the quiet voice that reassures us that all our fears and struggles are ripples on the surface. Below is eternity, calm waters, and love – beautifully done.
