Which way is Up

Over and over
seeking respite
I lose myself to music and
comforting blanket of night.

more than once life turned itself
upside down
was it me who fell and didn’t know then
which way was up

It doesn’t matter now

Life moves in gentle ripples
and clouds trickle by in sluggish moves
across an Autumn sky
where questions hold their own
peculiar answer.

Your beauty shines its light
on those lives you don’t
even know you touch
…yet do.

Perfume still fills the air
electrifying senses of those who’d dare
to reach for the moon
knowing if they miss
they’ll still go onto higher love
that in those quiet wonders
it’s all there.

This is such a lovely thought among an uplifting poem, thank you.

  2. This is absolutely beautiful, hopeful, reassuring and inspiring. I especially love the closing lines. Yes. It’s all there. So gorgeous a poem!

  3. smiles…love the positive spin in the last stanza yes, sometimes we miss but there are def higher targets…

i am having a real hard time getting on your page…it keeps looking up my computer…

  4. I loved the entire poem but your ending was very well expressed…..sometimes life can really send us in a maze that we dont knw which way anymore….

  5. So when you find your up, do you know your down? Does your down become left or your left become right? Heck maybe it just goes all diagonal and messes with your sight..haha…very nice piece.
